Your mission

As Senior Financial Controller at Rail-Flow, you play a key role in ensuring the quality and discipline of our financial controlling and reporting. You drive the monthly closing process, provide actionable insights for management, and continuously improve our financial processes and tools.

Investor & C-Level Reporting: You are responsible for preparing and delivering reports for investors and executive management. You establish and maintain a company-wide KPI dashboard and prepare financial data and presentations for advisory board meetings.
KPI Provision & Data Quality:You deliver meaningful KPIs, analyses, and reports for management and sales steering, ensuring data quality and consistency in all relevant systems.
Process Optimization & Compliance:You analyze monthly financial results, optimize and monitor financial processes, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Cost Control & Contribution Margin Accounting:You support the development and enhancement of cost control and contribution margin accounting, providing transparency and actionable recommendations.
Business Planning & Analytical Model Development:You support integrated business planning, coordinate the annual business plan with departments, and develop analytical models to support forward-looking financial management.

Your profile

You have a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
You bring several years (typically 3–5+) of experience in financial controlling and reporting—ideally in an international environment
You possess solid knowledge of international accounting standards and have experience with accounting processes and financial tools (e.g. Exact, Oracle Apex, PowerBI, Claude)
You have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in both Dutch and English, as well as a high level of process and deadline discipline
Ideally, you are located in or near Hamburg or Frankfurt

Deine Aufgaben

Als Senior Financial Controller bei Rail-Flow spielst du eine zentrale Rolle bei der Sicherstellung der Qualität und Disziplin unseres Finanzcontrollings und Reportings. Du verantwortest den monatlichen Abschlussprozess, lieferst umsetzbare Erkenntnisse für das Management und entwickelst unsere Finanzprozesse und -tools kontinuierlich weiter.

Investor & C-Level Reporting: Du bist für die Erstellung und Bereitstellung von Berichten für Investoren und das Executive Management verantwortlich. Du etablierst und pflegst ein unternehmensweites KPI-Dashboard und bereitest Finanzdaten sowie Präsentationen für Beiratssitzungen vor.
KPI Provision & Data Quality: Du stellst aussagekräftige KPIs, Analysen und Reports für das Management und die Vertriebssteuerung bereit und sorgst für eine hohe Datenqualität und Konsistenz in allen relevanten Systemen.
Process Optimization & Compliance: Du analysierst die monatlichen Finanzergebnisse, optimierst und überwachst die Finanzprozesse und sorgst für die Einhaltung interner und externer Anforderungen.
Cost Control & Contribution Margin Accounting: Du unterstützt die Weiterentwicklung der Kostenkontrolle und Deckungsbeitragsrechnung und schaffst Transparenz sowie umsetzbare Handlungsempfehlungen.
Business Planning & Analytical Model Development: Du unterstützt die integrierte Geschäftsplanung, koordinierst den jährlichen Businessplan mit den Fachbereichen und entwickelst analytische Modelle zur Unterstützung einer zukunftsorientierten Finanzsteuerung.

Dein Profil

Du hast ein Studium in Finanzen, Rechnungswesen, Betriebswirtschaft oder einem verwandten Bereich abgeschlossen.
Du verfügst über mehrjährige Berufserfahrung (idealerweise 3–5+ Jahre) im Finanzcontrolling und Reporting, vorzugsweise in einem internationalen Umfeld.
Internationale Rechnungslegungsstandards sind dir vertraut und du bringst fundierte Kenntnisse in Buchhaltungsprozessen sowie im Umgang mit modernen Finanztools (z. B. Exact, Oracle Apex, PowerBI, Claude) mit.
Du überzeugst durch ausgeprägte analytische, organisatorische und kommunikative Fähigkeiten in Deutsch und Englisch und zeichnest dich durch eine hohe Prozess- und Termindisziplin aus.
Ein Wohnsitz in oder in der Nähe von Frankfurt am Main oder Hamburg ist von Vorteil.
