Your mission
As a Sales Engineer / Presales Consultant at Rail-Flow, you are the technical and functional backbone of our sales process. You bridge innovative software solutions with the real-world needs of our rail and intermodal logistics customers. You evaluate customer situations, design value-oriented solution proposals, deliver compelling and tailored demos, and ensure a seamless handover into implementation. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product & Engineering - from first contact to successful go-live.
- Solution Design & Value Engineering
- Evaluate the initial situation and processes of prospects and new customers
- Translate needs into compelling solution designs and value arguments
- Model customer logistics and IT processes and define their system requirements
- Demos & Product Presentations
- Prepare and deliver customized live demos, tailored to customer use cases and industries
- Develop and maintain standardized demo scenarios and demo environments
- Present ROI and value case logic in a clear and structured way
- Tender Management & Pre-Sales Support
- Coordinate and answer simple and complex tenders & RFPs (Rail-Flow + partner solutions)
- Prepare commercial offers and sales presentations
- Work closely with the sales team along the funnel: qualification → solutioning → closing
- Technical Consulting & Handover
- Gather requirements and structure them for Engineering & Product teams
- Develop implementation concepts and pre-sales project plans
- Provide input to product roadmaps based on market & customer feedback
- Support testing of product functionalities when needed
