Your mission

Oversee and steer the development, deployment, and management of technology across all departments, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals
Lead the technical and Q&A team in the creation and execution of the product roadmap, while ensuring technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs
Collaborate with department heads and the CTO to identify, recommend, and implement new technologies that can improve efficiency and service quality
Manage and optimize infrastructure deployments, cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
Drive the continuous improvement of software engineering practices, advocating for scalable and sustainable architectural decisions
Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance and adjust project output accordingly.
Coordinate the process of building and maintaining data security systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Direct the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures within the organization
Facilitate the adoption of new digital tools and technologies, assessing system and software needs across the company.
Engage in vendor negotiations and management of software and hardware providers
Support research and development initiatives, providing expert guidance on potential technology solutions
Proficient in Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Database for developing and deploying responsive, data-centric applications on the Oracle platform

Your profile

Passionate about technology and innovation within the rail freight transport/logistics and digitalization sectors
Eager to develop your skills and grow within a rapidly scaling organization
Holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
Demonstrates at least 5 years of experience in a senior technical management role, with hands-on experience in software development, technology infrastructure management, Oracle and Oracle Apex technologies
Exhibits strong leadership qualities, able to guide and mentor a dynamic technical team
Highly organized and analytical, with a proven track record of driving complex projects to completion
Deep understanding of the latest industry trends and the ability to apply them within the context of the company’s needs
Proficient in multiple programming languages and IT frameworks, with a solid understanding of network architecture and data security protocols
Exceptional communication skills in both German and English are essential
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
Willingness to engage in business trips as required to meet project needs and facilitate team collaboration

Deine Aufgaben

Überwachung und Steuerung der Entwicklung, Bereitstellung und Verwaltung von Technologien in allen Abteilungen, um die Ausrichtung auf die strategischen Ziele des Unternehmens sicherzustellen.
Führung des technischen Teams und des Q&A-Teams bei der Erstellung und Umsetzung der Produkt-Roadmap, während sichergestellt wird, dass technologische Ressourcen die kurz- und langfristigen Bedürfnisse des Unternehmens erfüllen.
Zusammenarbeit mit Abteilungsleitern und dem CTO zur Identifizierung, Empfehlung und Implementierung neuer Technologien, die Effizienz und Servicequalität verbessern können.
Management und Optimierung von Infrastruktur-Bereitstellungen und cloudbasierten Umgebungen, um hohe Verfügbarkeit und Fehlertoleranz sicherzustellen.
Förderung der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Software-Engineering-Praktiken und Befürwortung skalierbarer und nachhaltiger architektonischer Entscheidungen.
Überwachung von KPIs und IT-Budgets zur Bewertung der technologischen Leistung und Anpassung der Projektergebnisse entsprechend.
Koordination des Prozesses zum Aufbau und zur Wartung von Datensicherheitssystemen, um die Einhaltung aller relevanten Vorschriften und Standards sicherzustellen.
Leitung der Entwicklung und Implementierung von IT-Richtlinien und -Verfahren innerhalb der Organisation.
Erleichterung der Einführung neuer digitaler Werkzeuge und Technologien durch Bewertung der System- und Softwarebedürfnisse im gesamten Unternehmen.
Verhandlungen mit Anbietern und Management von Software- und Hardwarelieferanten.
Unterstützung von Forschungs- und Entwicklungsinitiativen durch fachkundige Beratung zu potenziellen Technologielösungen.
Beherrschung von Oracle Application Express (APEX) und Oracle Database zur Entwicklung und Bereitstellung von responsiven, datenorientierten Anwendungen auf der Oracle-Plattform.

Dein Profil

Leidenschaft für Technologie und Innovation im Bereich Schienengüterverkehr/Logistik und Digitalisierung.
Bereitschaft zur Weiterentwicklung der eigenen Fähigkeiten und zum Wachstum in einer schnell skalierenden Organisation.
Abschluss in Informatik, Ingenieurwesen oder einem verwandten Bereich; ein Master-Abschluss in einem relevanten Bereich ist bevorzugt.
Nachweislich mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in einer leitenden technischen Managementrolle, mit praktischer Erfahrung in Softwareentwicklung, Technologieinfrastrukturmanagement, Oracle und Oracle Apex-Technologien.
Ausgeprägte Führungsqualitäten und die Fähigkeit, ein dynamisches technisches Team zu leiten und zu betreuen.
Hohe Organisations- und Analysefähigkeiten, mit nachweislicher Erfolgsbilanz bei der Umsetzung komplexer Projekte.
Tiefes Verständnis der neuesten Branchentrends und die Fähigkeit, diese im Kontext der Unternehmensbedürfnisse anzuwenden.
Beherrschung mehrerer Programmiersprachen und IT-Frameworks, mit fundiertem Verständnis von Netzwerkarchitektur und Datensicherheitsprotokollen.
Außergewöhnliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Deutsch und Englisch sind unerlässlich.
Vertrautheit mit agilen Methoden, DevOps-Praktiken und CI/CD-Pipelines.
